How to Make Blended Baked Oatmeal

Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven to 350ºF and spray an oven safe ramekin with non-stick cooking spray. 

Blend Base Ingredients

Place all of the base ingredients into a blender and blend until the ingredients are combined and the oats are broken up into oat flour.

Add Flavor Combo Ingredients to Blender

Choose what flavor combination you would like and add those ingredients to the base ingredient in the blender. Pulse those ingredients into the base batter until everything is combined. 

Pour Batter Into Ramekin & Bake

Pour the batter into the greased ramekin and place the ramekin in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through. Let cool & enjoy!

Can you use instant oatmeal for baking? Yes! You can use both rolled oatmeal and quick cooking oatmeal in most baked oatmeal recipes, especially because you’re blending the oats before baking.

Should blended baked oatmeal be refrigerated? While we suggest always refrigerating your blended baked oatmeal, it should be okay in the counter overnight. We do want to note that it will last much longer in the fridge than on the counter.

To Freeze: To freeze this blended baked oatmeal, let it cool completely. Then tightly wrap it with a piece of tin foil and remove as much air as possible. Freeze for up to 3 months.

Ingredients

Base 

  • ½ cup rolled oats 
  • ¼ cup unsweetened plain almond milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder 

Flavor/Ingredient combinations

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough 

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons all-natural peanut butter 
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon mini chocolate chips

Banana Berry 

  • ½ mashed banana 
  • 1 tablespoon honey 
  • ⅓ cup blueberries

Chocolate Chocolate Chip 

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened almond milk 
  • 1 tablespoon mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF and spray an oven safe ramekin with non-stick cooking spray. 
  2. Place all of the base ingredients into a blender and blend until the ingredients are combined and the oats are broken up into oat flour. Feel free to use a single-serve smoothie blender or a normal-sized blender.
  3. Choose what flavor combination you would like and add those ingredients to the base ingredient in the blender. 
  4. Pulse those ingredients into the base batter until combined. 
  5. Pour the batter into the greased ramekin and place the ramekin in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through. 
  6. Remove the baked oatmeal from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for 5-10 minutes and enjoy. 

Tips & Notes

  • Before starting this recipe be sure you know what flavor combination you are going to make and prepare your ingredients. 
  • We pulse both the blueberries in the banana berry flavor and the chocolate chips in the peanut butter cookie flavors into the batter. Feel free to add more blueberries or chocolate chips on top.
